Kantuk saat berkendara di jalan tol sangat berbahaya. Berikut beberapa tips untuk mengatasi kantuk di jalan tol:
1. Istirahat Rutin: Lakukan istirahat setiap 2 jam sekali. Manfaatkan rest area untuk tidur sebentar (power nap) sekitar 15-20 menit.
2. Konsumsi Kafein: Minum kopi atau minuman berkafein lainnya dapat membantu meningkatkan kewaspadaan.
3. Tidur yang Cukup Sebelum Berpergian: Pastikan Anda tidur minimal 7-8 jam sebelum memulai perjalanan panjang.
4. Bawa Teman: Jika memungkinkan, ajak teman atau keluarga untuk menemani, agar ada yang bisa bergantian menyetir atau mengajak berbincang.
5. Dengarkan Musik atau Podcast: Musik dengan tempo cepat atau podcast yang menarik bisa membantu mengurangi rasa kantuk.
6. Ventilasi Udara: Atur ventilasi mobil, agar tidak terlalu hangat, karena suhu yang terlalu nyaman dapat membuat Anda kantuk.
7. Aktivitas Fisik Singkat: Lakukan peregangan ringan saat berhenti di rest area, untuk melancarkan peredaran darah dan menyegarkan tubuh.
8. Makan Camilan Ringan: Mengunyah camilan sehat seperti kacang-kacangan, buah, atau biskuit bisa membantu tetap terjaga.
Tetap waspada dan jangan memaksakan diri, jika merasa sangat lelah. Berhentilah untuk tidur sejenak jika perlu.
